How Smart Are You When It Comes To World War II?

Of all the conflicts in human history, World War II might be the one that captures the popular imagination the most vividly. Part of this might be its wildly international nature: from the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor to the last-ditch Battle of the Bulge to the gray shores of Iwo Jima, World War II spanned nearly every continent and involved nearly every country in existence. Far more than even "World War I" (if it can truly be called that), World War II was an exercise in what happens when every major power decides to duke it out all at once -- a brutal, terrible exercise that costs lives in the millions. That's probably the other reason we're so fascinated by it: it cost more human lives than any conflict before or since. So how much do you know about the war that defined the Greatest Generation? Are you a history expert, or some chump who thinks Midway is a candy bar company? You probably won't do as well as you think you will -- people are rarely as smart as they think themselves to be when it comes to these things. Think you can prove us wrong?

Take the quiz and find out!
